Accounting & Finance – Accounting Analyst
Fathom Events Company Description: Fathom is a recognized leader in the entertainment industry as one of the top distributors of content to movie theaters in North America, including live events. Fathom delivers a wide variety of programming and experiences to U.S. and global cinema audiences. This is a hybrid role in which Monday and Friday are remote and Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday are onsite in Greenwood Village.
General Role Description: We are looking for an Intermediate level Accountant who has outstanding excel skills, is detail oriented, and is eager to learn about all aspects of business accounting. This position will work closely with the Accounting Manager with moderate guidance in finalizing the monthly billing processes, reporting functions and general GAAP compliant accounting. This is a great opportunity for a skilled candidate to gain knowledge and experience in all aspects of accounting.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process weekly semi-automated invoices (through the use of excel and internal company invoicing system)
- Assist with manual invoicing as needed
- Prepare and post closing entries and ensure account reconciliations are completed timely and accurately
- Daily reporting of event results
- Track, report, summarize, and post monthly credit card and employee expenses
- Track and organize weekly accounts payable invoices
- Maintain, update, and consolidate a variety of spreadsheet reports and databases
- Input master data and update the Great Plains Accounting software
- Other miscellaneous ad hoc assignments to supporting accounting and the overall business
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- 8+ years of experience in accounting or finance with demonstrated, progressive increases in responsibility
- CPA preferred, or willing to pursue certification
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics Great Plains Accounting Software preferred
- Proficiency with all Microsoft office applications, with advanced excel skills
- Excellent communication, time management, organizational, and analytical skills
- Strong collaboration and initiative skills, team player and proven ability to succeed in multi-team environments
- Must be proactive, organized, solutions and detail oriented
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Ability to independently research, analyze, and solve new and complicated accounting changes and ad hoc business needs
